Ricky Powell

In this film you meet Ricky Powell, a native New Yorker whose photographs of iconic people such as the Beastie Boys, Keith Haring and Cindy Crawford made him a pivotal figure in the downtown party scene during the ’80s and ’90s.

Now 50, Ricky’s lust for photography and music is still strong. Through his eccentricities such as his love for a transistor radio and feeding squirrels in the park, we gain an insight into his everyday life. Retrospective of New York City and how it has changed over his lifetime, he shows us around the city and contemplates what the future holds. Check it out:

 

 

REƧƎƎИ is a journey that brought together 8 creative talents from different artistic fields for an interdisciplinary exchange at MADE. This film documents the entire REƧƎƎИ creative process, beginning in Jonathan Mannion’s NYC studio, where he presents the idea, then over to Berlin, stopping at the different artists’ studios and workplaces, giving a glimpse of their own creative processes, and finally to MADE, where the pieces were present and reveled for the first time. This documentary follows French chef Michel Bras, one of the most influential chefs in the world, has decided to hand over his renowned 3-Michelin-Star restaurant to his son Sebastien. Having worked with his father for 15 years, Sebastien is ready. But it’s not easy to take over the family business when your father is a master in his field. Check out the trailer:

 and A$AP Mob linked up in the UK and put together an extremely dope documentary. The 10-plus-minute film, entitled A$VP C4, chronicles the rise of the Harlem MC from the very start, all the way up to his current success with “Goldie,” with insight coming from A$AP Mob mastermind A$AP Yams, A$AP Twelvyy and Rocky himself. Additional footage comes from the making of the music video for “Peso,” their first performance in the UK and much more. Check it out:

Surgram Films and Guerreisms have collaborated to produce a video on fellow Gentlemen around the globe for GQ magazine Japan. They have been all over fashion magazines, blogs, photos, videos and interviews. These men are not styled by others, they have developed very personal styles through the years with trial and error. Once again high dignitaries of menswear came togehter for The Sartorialist’s regular dinner during Pitti Uomo. Scott Schuman hosts his second dinner in Florence. The Sartorialist Dinner in Florence, Italy took place during men’s week during the summer heat of Pitti Uomo. Last year the likes of Kanye West, Lino Ieluzzi and Simone Righi took part in Schuman’s ‘Lunch for 25′ meeting of the creative and stylistic minds.
